The inspiration for infinite possibilities.

Di Lorenzo has been providing innovative flooring solutions for decades and continues to source unique tiles from all over the world. For many of these products, the origin and/or inspiration has been a story in itself.

“D.R.Y. tiles can be twisted to form alternative patterns allowing for clever and flexible design options.”

The following products are reflective of Di Lorenzo’s commitment to excellence and creativity.

Climacotto is made by using rock from Mt Etna, Sicily. The volcanic rock is mixed and pressed by hand and the lines you see on the surface are left behind by the artisans hand prints as they smooth out the clay. This technique is an ancient craft and today specialist artisans are especially employed to do this. This tile oozes character.

The D.R.Y collection has been inspired by the irregular pattern of cracks formed by aged plaster or dry earth. This gives a distinct character to material. D.R.Y is a non repetitive pattern, hence the abbreviation for Don’t Repeat Yourself. The pattern is generated by 1 tile only and to avoid duplicates the tile can be twisted to form alternative patterns allowing for clever and flexible design options.

Ceppo is a reproduction of a natural timber. It actually represents a portion of a cut tree log. Each piece represents the actual size of the trunk from which it was chopped. The large 600x1200 size takes its inspiration from a mature tree, while the smaller size is reflective of a younger tree. Ceppo represents 3 different trees, each with its own character.

The Renaza range of sustainable luxury tiles are created from reclaimed, century old boat timber. Each Renaza recycled tile has been 100 years in the making and lovingly crafted from the premium hardwood of decommissioned boats. Seasoned by the elements after a lifetime at sea, the strength and resilience of the timber remains while its outward character reveals the subtle nuances of a life well lived. Renaza recycled tiles are versatile and steeped in history. Unique in character and unmatched in quality, Renaza tiles have been finished in a range of styles to suit a variety of décors and settings. Just imagine tiles with this story being part of your new home.

The appeal of a product that is natural or inspired by natural materials is that it is timeless and doesn’t fit in to any specific trend.

Products inspired by other factors can be just as interesting and unique. For example, the Penneli Fusions Collection is made from exquisite fabric designs from the past on contemporary porcelain tiles of today and the stunning Rendering Collection features embossed tiles, reminiscent of traditional Valencia lace.

The beauty of these collections is that they are not just made but created with purpose. They come with a story and have meaning. Any tiles from the above are sure to be a unique and beautiful contribution to your home.
