Deco doors deliver on-trend look

Internal doors are a simple, yet sometimes overlooked, way to update, add value, and make a statement of quality and craftsmanship in your home.

JELD-WEN Windows and Doors says internal door selection is becoming a hot-button issue in residential home design with innovative new products being used to bring a new edge to home interiors.

Deco Doors
The Deco range is inspired by the popular international design movement Art Deco. The door designs include long clean horizontal and vertical lines to create a modern streamline form sure to suit a range of architectural styles and tastes.

In line with the trend for high gloss finishes, Corinthian Doors, part of the JELD-WEN Windows and Doors family, offers the Deco door range which specifically caters to the sleek high-gloss look.

The Deco range is inspired by the popular international design movement Art Deco. The door designs include long clean horizontal and vertical lines to create a modern streamline form sure to suit a range of architectural styles and tastes.

The Deco range has a thicker 4.75mm skin, achieving a premium finish for high gloss paints. As the door is now more solid with thicker skin, this also provides improved acoustic properties. The Deco premium internal door range is routered on both faces and is pre-primed ready for painting.

The Deco door range was used to great effect by Madi and Jarrod in the latest series of Australia’s favourite renovation reality show, The Block, on Channel Nine. On The Block Sky High, the popular Sydney-siders featured Corinthian‘s Deco doors throughout their apartment and listed the doors, as well as the complete internal range, as one of their favourite products for the series.

Proving internal doors are right on trend as feature design elements, The Block Sky High’s most innovative couple Kim and Matt from Western Australia, also made a statement with their Corinthian internal door selection. The couple, who were most renowned for pushing the design envelope, chose the most traditional of the internal door range – the Windsor door – that secured a look of authenticity assured by its traditional stile and rail construction and richly grained select grade veneer finish. Ever the innovators, Kim and Matt gave the internal door a contemporary new look by inserting panels of translucent glass to make the internal doors a feature in their cutting-edge apartment.
