Furniture for the senses

Furniture can be applied to a room in different ways - for pure function, to blend in, as statement pieces for structure and shape, as colour highlights or for a combination of purposes. It’s not only about how it looks but also how it feels, even smells (think new leather).

Moss Furniture has developed a reputation for bringing the very best in modern furniture and accessories from around the world to Australia. According to Moss Furniture’s Susie Dorsen, the company believes in a different sort of shopping experience – enduring, custom-made contemporary design, personal service and affordable prices.

“We scour the world to find superior pieces with excellent design features for our customers including tables, chairs, bar stools, shelving and entertainment units,” said Susie. “Most of our selections can be custom-made to individual specifications in quality materials such as stainless steel, CaesarStone, marble, timber, glass and polyurethane.”

“Our designs will not be found in a series of chain stores, instead each has been specially chosen for its beauty, quality and distinctiveness – all qualities that will ensure they will be treasured for years to come.”

With its contemporary good looks and hardwearing appeal, CaesarStone has long been considered the perfect choice for benchtops and splashbacks in kitchens and bathrooms. However, the team at Moss Furniture has also recognised the stunning appeal of its natural quartz finish and created a unique collection of modern furniture that tops stainless steel frames with Caeserstone for a truly distinctive look.

This gorgeous range of CaesarStone furniture includes dining and coffee tables, consoles and entertainment units. Using the highest quality residential grade of brushed stainless steel, each piece can be topped with your choice of 32 different CaesarStone colourways and textures.

“The custom-made options are endless – choose from a floating or flush CaesarStone top in either single or double thickness and consider castors if you wish to move the piece from room to room. As a practical worktop, CaesarStone is one of the finest on the market as it is stain and scratch resistant, easy to clean and boasts a 10-year limited warranty,” said Susie.

Apart from stainless steel tables with stone or glass tops, there is an emerging trend for the return of timber in the dining room. Moss Furniture is working on two new concepts: one is the combination of the two elements using a stainless steel frame with a stained timber grain top. The end result is a pleasing contemporary look allowing you to have either timber or stainless steel chairs or a combination of both.

The other concept is a stained timber frame, along the lines of Moss Furniture’s Lilia range, with a CaesarStone top. The warm timber frame complements a coordinated plain or patterned fabric in chairs with matching stained timber legs.
